The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued the following 2024 RV recalls:

DAIMLER TRUCKS NORTH AMERICA, LLC

Brake Lights May Fail to Illuminate

Brake lights that fail to illuminate can fail to indicate to other drivers that the vehicle is slowing down, increasing the crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 37

Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Freightliner Custom Chassis S2C 106 and 2024-2025 Freightliner Custom Chassis S2RV 106 vehicles. The S2RV is a Super C motorhome chassis. The brake lights may not illuminate when the brakes are automatically applied during an active brake assist event.

The remedy is currently under development. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 1. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 800-745-8000. DTNA’s number for this recall is F1006.

GRAND DESIGN RV, LLC

Wiring Missing Circuit Protection

Wiring without circuit protection may become damaged and short-circuit, increasing the fire risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected:  734

Grand Design is recalling certain 2024 Reflection travel trailers. The electrical wiring may be missing over the current circuit protection.

Dealers will install a 50-amp breaker, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 24. Owners may contact Grand Design customer service at 574-825-9679. Grand Design’s number for this recall is 910044.

KEYSTONE RV CO.

Incorrectly Attached Metal Sidewalls

Loose sidewalls that detach during transit can create a road hazard, increasing the injury/crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 393

Keystone is recalling certain 2024 Springdale 245ML, Hideout 24L0F, Aspen Trail 260THLOFT, 360THLOFT and Colorado 360THLOFT travel trailers. The metal sidewall may be incorrectly attached and come loose during transit.

TIFFIN MOTORHOMES, INC.

Missing Spare Tire Wheel Bolts

A spare tire installed without the correct bolts can detach, increasing the crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 242

Tiffin is recalling certain 2024 Tiffin Convoy, and 2023/2025 Tiffin GH1 motorhomes. The wheel bolts for the spare tire may be missing.

STORYTELLER OVERLAND

Incorrect Weight Capacity on Label/FMVSS 120

An overloaded vehicle can increase the crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 3

Storyteller Overland is recalling certain 2024 GXV Next vehicles. The cargo carrying capacity listed on the certification label is incorrect, which can cause the vehicle to be overloaded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 120, “Wheels and Rims – Other than Passenger Cars.”

Storyteller Overland will mail corrected labels to owners, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 10. Owners may contact Storyteller Overland customer service at 888-999-7442.

WINNEBAGO INDUSTRIES, INC.

Solar Charging System May Melt Fuse

A melted fuse increases the fire risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 2,193

Winnebago is recalling certain 2021-2025 Ekko motorhomes. The solar charging system was incorrectly designed without sufficient over-current protection, which can cause the circuit to overheat and melt the fuse.

FOREST RIVER, INC.

Microwave May Experience Electrical Arcing

The presence of a screw in the microwave compartment can cause electrical arcing, increasing the fire risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 63

Forest River is recalling certain 2025 Cherokee CKT20-0G travel trailers. During installation, an incorrect length screw was used to install the microwave, which allowed the screw to enter the microwave compartment.

Dealers will inspect and replace the microwave as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 4. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 260-499-2100. Forest River’s number for this recall is 89-1819.

JAYCO, INC.

Inadequate Fuse Protection Can Cause Fire

Inadequate protection increases the fire risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 7

Jayco is recalling certain 2025 Entegra Cornerstone motorhomes. The chassis batteries could have inadequate overcurrent fuse protection.

TIFFIN MOTORHOMES, INC.

Blow Fuse May Cause Engine Shutdown

An engine shutdown increases the crash risk.

Tiffin is recalling certain 2022-2023 Phaeton, Allegro Bus and Zephyr motorhomes. The PowerGlide chassis controller may have insufficient circuit protection, which can result in a blown fuse and cause an engine shutdown.

DAIMLER TRUCKS NORTH AMERICA, LLC

Loss of Steering Control from Tie Rod Failure

Tie rod failure can cause vehicle steering control loss and increase the crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 3,421

DTNA is recalling certain 2025 Freightliner 108SD, 114SD, Business Class M2, Cascadia and Western Star 47X vehicles. The tie rod in the front axle may contain ball studs that have been incorrectly heat-treated, which can cause them to break and result in tie rod failure.

Dealers will replace the tie rod assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 29. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 800-745-8000. DTNA’s number for this recall is F1007.

FOREST RIVER, INC.

Incorrect Seating Capacity on Label/FMVSS 120

Incorrect seating capacity information may lead to overloading the vehicle, increasing the crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 20

Forest River is recalling certain 2025 Freelander motorhomes. The federal placard indicates 30 seat-belted positions in the rear when the correct number of belted positions is three. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 120, “Wheels and Rims – Other than Passenger Cars” and 49 CFR Part 567, “Certification.”

JAYCO, INC.

Battery Cables May Overheat and Cause Fire

An electrical short or overheating of the battery cables increases the fire risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 125

Jayco is recalling certain 2024-2025 Entegra Anthem, Aspire, Cornerstone, Reatta and Reatta XL motorhomes. The battery cables may not be the correct size, in the correct location or they may be improperly tightened, which can cause an electrical short or allow the cables to overheat.

Freshwater Tank Can Detach

A detached tank can fall, becoming a road hazard and increasing the crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 863

Taxa is recalling certain 2021-2024 Mantis trailers. The gaskets and brackets could fail to stabilize the freshwater tank, allowing the tank to move and detach from the trailer.

CRUISER RV

Improperly Vented Generator May Overheat

A generator that overheats increases the fire risk. In addition, trapped exhaust gases inside the trailer can increase injury risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 27

Cruiser RV is recalling certain 2024-2025 Stryker travel trailers equipped with optional Onan 5.5 generators. These generators may not be properly vented, leading the generator to overheat or preventing exhaust gas from escaping properly.

Dealers will correctly route the generator venting, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 27. Owners may contact Heartland customer service at 877-277-5630.

HEARTLAND RECREATIONAL VEHICLES, LLC

A cabinet that detaches while the vehicle is in motion can distract the driver, increasing the crash risk.

Rev Group is recalling certain 2019-2025 Holiday Rambler Admiral, 2018 Holiday Rambler Admiral XE, Fleetwood Storm, 2023-2025 Holiday Rambler Eclipse, Fleetwood Flex, 2018-2025 Fleetwood Flair, 2020-2024 Fleetwood Fortis, 2020-2025 Holiday Rambler Invicta, 2018-2023 Fleetwood Pace Arrow and 2018-2019 Holiday Rambler Vacationer XE motorhomes, equipped with the HappiJac drop down bed option. The front overhead cabinet fasteners can break, allowing the overhead cabinet to detach.

Exterior Patio Outlet May Lack GFCI Protection

An outlet without ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protection may fail to shut off electrical power when a ground fault occurs, increasing the injury risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 598

Rev Group is recalling certain 2019-2025 Holiday Rambler Admiral, 2023-2025 Holiday Rambler Eclipse, Fleetwood Flex and 2019-2024 Fleetwood Flair motorhomes. The exterior patio outlet may lack GFCI protection when powered by a generator or shore cord.

Incorrectly Routed Propane Line May Leak

A propane leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the fire risk.

Triple E is recalling certain 2024 Triple E Unity U24RL, U24TB, U24FX and U24MBL motorhomes. The generator propane hose may be incorrectly routed too close to the generator exhaust, which can result in a fuel leak.

LED Backlight Circuit Failure May Cause Fire

A circuit board that overheats increases the fire risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 248

Escape Trailer is recalling certain 2024 Escape 17, 19, 21, 23 and 5.0 travel trailers. The LED backlight circuit board in the cooktop range may fail, causing the board to overheat.

Stowed Griddle Can Cause Fire

A griddle stowed while the gas is still in use can increase the fire risk.

Forest River is recalling certain 2025 R-Pod RPT203 travel trailers. The exterior griddle may be stowed while still connected to the LP gas line.

Sewer Anti-Siphon Vent Installed Backwards

Sewer gas entering the vehicle can increase occupant injury risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 25

Forest River is recalling certain 2024-2025 Puma PUT39DBT travel trailers. The anti-siphon vent may have been installed backwards which can cause sewer gas to enter the vehicle.

Battery Damage from Over-Current Condition

Battery damage can cause battery cells to short circuit, increasing the fire risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 24

Motor Coach Industries (MCI) is recalling certain 2021 D45CRTeLE vehicles. An error in the battery module software may cause an over-current condition during battery charging, resulting in battery damage.

LED Backlight Circuit Board Failure May Cause Fire

A circuit board that overheats increases the fire risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 958

Northern Lite is recalling certain 2022-2024 truck campers. The LED backlight circuit board in the cooktop range may fail, causing the board to overheat.

Forward-Facing Camera May Become Inoperable

Damaged wiring can cause the camera to become inoperable, disabling active brake assist, auto high beams and lane keep assist. This may increase the crash risk.

Winnebago is recalling certain 2023-2024 Adventurer, Sunstar and Vista motorhomes built on Ford F-53 chassis. The wiring may have been incorrectly routed, damaging the forward-facing camera wiring.

Microwave Connected to Incorrect Circuit

An overloaded wire increases the fire risk.

Winnebago is recalling certain 2024-2025 Minnie travel trailers. The microwave may have been incorrectly connected to a 20-amp breaker, enabling the wire to become overloaded.

Non-ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) Protected Outlet Installed on Countertop

Rearview Camera Image May Not Display/FMVSS 11

A rearview camera image that does not display decreases the driver’s visibility, increasing the crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 1,245

Jayco is recalling certain 2023-2025 Ethos, Ethos Li, Arc, Swift, Swift Li and Comet motorhomes. The radio software may prevent the rearview image from displaying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 111, “Rear Visibility.”

The radio software will be updated through an over-the-air update or by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 27. Airstream is recalling certain 2024 Airstream Trade Wind travel trailers equipped with certain GE air conditioners. The air conditioner’s soft start device may fail and overheat.

Electrical Power Hub May Overheat

A power hub that overheats increases the fire risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 21

Airstream is recalling certain 2025 Airstream Classic travel trailers. The power hub supplying power to circuits may have an incorrect max fuse rating, which can allow the power hub to overheat.

ALLIANCE RV, LLC

Bathroom Electrical Outlet Missing GFI Protection

A bathroom electrical outlet that is missing GFI protection can result in electrical shock, increasing the injury risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 64

Alliance RV, LLC is recalling certain 2024-2025 Alliance Valor 31T13 travel trailers. The front bathroom may be missing the Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) and may not be connected to the GFI circuit.

Dealers will replace the standard receptacle with a GFI receptacle, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed in November 2024. Owners may contact Alliance customer service at 1-574-218-7165.

 

Brakes May Fail to Engage on Detached Tow Vehicle

Brakes that fail to engage when a tow vehicle detaches increases the crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 154

Alliance is recalling certain 2024-2025 Paradigm 295MK, 310RL, 340RL, 370FB, 375RD, 380MP, 382RK, 385FL, and 395DS fifth wheels. The 7-way electrical connection to the brake actuator may have been mis-wired, which can prevent the brakes from engaging if the tow vehicle detaches.

EMBER RECREATIONAL VEHICLES, INC

Incorrect Cargo Carrying Capacity on Label

An overloaded trailer increases the crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 4

Ember is recalling certain 2023-2024 Overland Series, Touring Edition, and E-Series travel trailers. The certification labels list an incorrect cargo carrying capacity, which can allow the trailer to become overloaded. As such, these trailers fail to comply with 49 CFR Part 567, “Certification.”

Spare Tire May Detach

A detached spare tire can become a road hazard, increasing the crash risk.

Storyteller Overland is recalling certain 2024 GXV Hilt vehicles. The spare tire mount may not be secured properly, allowing the spare tire to detach from the vehicle.

LP Gas Tank May Overheat

An LP tank that overheats can increase the fire risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 17

Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2024 Palladium and Talavera motorhomes. The liquid propane tank is located too close to the chassis exhaust, which can allow the tank to overheat.

Dealers will install a retrofit heatshield, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed Sept. 17, 2024. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-500-1020.

Subframe Truss May Collapse and Damage Wiring

Electrical arcing increases the fire risk.

Tiffin is recalling certain 2022-2025 Allegro Bay motorhomes. The subframe truss may collapse and pinch the electrical wiring, causing an electrical arc.

Winnebago) is recalling certain 2025 Winnebago View, Navion, and 2024-2025 Ekko recreational vehicles equipped with certain GE air conditioners. The air conditioner soft start device may fail and overheat.

The remedy is currently under development. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Nov. 8, 2024. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-3535. Winnebago’s number for this recall is 188.

 

Metal Siding Can Detach and Become a Road Hazard

Loose siding can detach and become a road hazard, increasing the crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 424

Winnebago is recalling certain 2024-2025 Winnebago Access travel trailers. The metal siding may have been improperly attached and can come loose.

Dealers will inspect and replace the siding as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Nov. 11, 2024. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-574-825-5250. Winnebago’s number for this recall is CAM0000039.
