Peeling/Cracking Furniture
If you had issues with your furniture peeling/cracking, what options did you use to resolve the problem? Replace or Reupholster? If you reupholster what type of material did you use? I have my dinette, Theather Chairs and driver/passenger chairs cracking and peeling big time.

We had a 5 recliner section furniture that lasted about 5 years, then like you, it started to peel. We even had blankets on it so our snaps and buttons wouldn’t scrap it, but it was so thin, it did not matter. We looked into the replacement skin, but when we researched it more, many people stated that it would start peeling from the ends and many strips were not long enough. We got rid of that section, and went and bought two smaller chairs. After a couple of years, they were doing the same, so we decided not to go with faux leather again. We bought a small L sectional with ottoman made of cloth. Now it has been ok for the last few years, but you can tell, it was not made as well as you thought at first. At least our cloth (knock on wood) is holding up. We can’t wait to see what you decide to do, as we like to think ahead and keep note of possible ways to better things. Let us know.
I viewed multiple videos on You Tube for ideas and even tried the Leather Repair Patch Tape Kit, 4" x 63" Self Adhesive Leather Repair Patch for Furniture. It covered the area peeling, but then it started to crack along the side of the tape. I then started searching locally for RV furniture reupholstry and contacted several to see what they use and cost to compare with purchasing new furniture. After careful review and discussion, I decided to go with a company that uses thicker automobile material and has done work on RV's, Boats, and of course automobiles. I dropped off the RV today and it will take 3 weeks to complete the job that includes pilot/copilot seat, dinnett set, and both Theater chairs. When the job is complete. I will post before and after photos.

Let us know how long they last, hopefully longer than expected.
It will last more than 5 years for sure. The material is the same used in automobiles.
