RV Recalls 9-2-2025

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued the following recalls:

CHRYSLER (FCA US, LLC)

Rearview Camera Image May not Display

A rearview image that does not display properly reduces the driver’s view behind the vehicle, increasing the crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 219,577

Chrysler is recalling certain 2019-2021 Ram ProMaster and 2019-2020 Dodge Journey vehicles. Cracks in the microprocessor may cause the vehicle’s rearview camera image not to display properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 111.

Dealers will replace the rearview camera, free of charge. Interim notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning Sept. 30. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler’s number for this recall is 59C.

FOREST RIVER INC.

Hydraulic Brake Lines May Fail

A brake fluid leak can cause brake function loss, increasing the crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 2,379

Forest River is recalling certain 2018-2026 Riverstone fifth wheel trailers. The steel hydraulic brake lines may fail and leak brake fluid.

Dealers will inspect and replace the brake lines, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Oct. 3. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 260-593-2425. Forest River’s number for this recall is 70-1957.

Incorrectly Wired Breakaway Switch

An inoperative breakaway switch increases the crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 7

Forest River is recalling certain 2026 Flagstaff and Rockwood trailers. The breakaway switch was wired to the incorrect side of the battery disconnect switch, making the breakaway switch inoperative.

Dealers will rewire the breakaway switch, free of charge. All vehicles are on dealer lots. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 574-642-8942. Forest River’s number for this recall is 10-1966.

Trailer Brakes May Lock Up

Trailer brake lockup increases the crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 209

Forest River is recalling certain 2024-2026 East to West Entrada motorhomes. Due to an incorrectly wired seven-way harness, the trailer brakes may lock up when the RV brakes are applied.

Dealers will disconnect, cap and mark the power wire as a tracer, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Oct. 1. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 574-264-6664. Forest River’s number for this recall is 504-1968.

Bunk Bed Brackets May Fail

Bent or broken brackets may fail, increasing the injury risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 148

Dealers will replace the brackets, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Oct. 14. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 866-425-4369. Keystone’s number for this recall is 25-472.

Wow, it took FR 8 years before they did a recall. We know others have them, even my brother, but when we were looking, they were the leading manufacturers who had the most recalls we found. These are recalls for things that should never happen. Like we state, they really must need the money if they put customers lives at stake. Be careful.
