RV Recalls 8-25-2025

Quote from Craig P. on 2025-08-25, 11:59 amThere is only one this week but it is an even better example of no quality control in RV manufacturing these days.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued the following recall:
JAYCO, INC.
Missing Furnace Exhaust Vent May Allow Carbon Dioxide to Enter the Vehicle
Unvented carbon monoxide increases the injury or death risk from carbon monoxide poisoning.
Potential Number of Units Affected: 173
Jayco is recalling certain 2024-2025 Jay Flight SLX travel trailers. The furnace exhaust vent may be missing from the exterior wall, enabling carbon monoxide to enter the vehicle.
Dealers will inspect and install a furnace exhaust vent as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 12. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at (800) 283-8267. Jayco’s number for this recall is 9901636.

Quote from Brenda S. on 2025-08-25, 6:13 pmThank you, you two. No, it seems some of the simplest things that should already be known, and this happens. They say there is QA, but when we talked to some people when we went for a tour of Heartland, they even said it’s random. The way these recalls keep coming out, not sure it’s even that.

Quote from Alan K. on 2025-08-30, 11:40 amThey are putting folks lives in danger and should be inspecting EACH vehicle. How long does it take to do a walk around, walk through and have some checklist for all important parts. It's a travesty.

Quote from Craig P. on 2025-09-02, 11:41 amIt really is. Every time I check on the recalls I am baffled on how these are missed on design and in manufacturing and assembly.
