New Feature Added to RVHelp

RV Help

Hey!

Heath here from RV Help. If you’re on this email list, it’s because at some point over the last six months, you’ve used RV Help in your search for a technician, inspector, or education on your RV.

We launched RV Help six months ago at the Tampa RV Show with a singular goal: to help RVers when they encounter a problem on the road.

Since we went live, we’ve had over 100,000 RV owners use our website or our new app (available for iPhone and coming soon for Android; here’s the link to download it if you haven’t already). We also have over 1,000 certified RV pros on our platform with thousands of reviews.

I’m reaching out today because we’ve been working hard on several updates to RV Help that could be useful for you while on the road on your next RV trip.

Some of these features are available at no cost, while others are included in our RV Help Pro membership (which we are offering at a 50% discount until July 14).

Okay, let’s get into it!

Feature #1 Remote Virtual Diagnostic Video Calls with Certified Techs (Pro Feature)

Screenshot showing where to book a virtual diagnostic call

Sometimes things break, and you’re sitting at a remote campsite or you have some of the skills required to fix the problem, but you just need someone to point you in the right direction.

This is why we’ve created video calls with certified techs.

We have a team of ten certified RV techs who can remotely walk you through a diagnostic process. You can walk around your rig, show them the problem on your phone, and they can help you troubleshoot the problem remotely.

If it ends up being a basic fix, then you can save money on taking your RV in for service (over 30% of issues can be resolved through a call like this).

How to use our virtual diagnostic service:

If you are an RV Help Pro member, you can log in to your dashboard and select the Book Virtual Diagnostic call (see image above). These are available regardless of where you are parked or where your RV is located.

Every Premium RV Help Pro member has access to three of these calls per year. RV Help contracts with the technicians, and we have individually vetted them and pay them for their time to be on a call with you for up to one hour.

Before setting up your diagnostic call, we will capture some of the problems you’re experiencing and pass that along to the technician for review so they are prepared going into the call. Below you can see an example of the virtual diag form.

Feature #2: Ability to Save Techs for Later (Free feature)

One of the complaints we heard from RV owners is that they often find a great mobile tech, but then forget their name, business, or how to get in touch with them.

Within RV Help, anyone can “favorite” an RV Service Pro, which saves them to your list of providers.

How to see your favorites:

Inside your RV Help account, you can click in the upper right-hand corner on your email and then select “Favorites”.

Then, you’ll be able to view your full list of saved providers for future reference.

Feature #3: Discounts on Service (Premium Feature)

We recently launched our “Pro Filters”, an easy way to view technicians who offer discounts to RV Help Members.

If you are a Pro Member, you can use the filter on the left side of your screen to see providers who offer a discount.

Technicians who have opted in to offer a discount will provide it in one of two ways: either a 10% discount on their hourly rate or a 25% discount on their service call fee.

You’ll also see providers who offer “free troubleshooting calls”. This is another Pro Filter, where you can view nearby techs who are willing to jump on a free 10-minute phone call to help you walk through your problem and see if there's an easy solution (versus them having to come out and it ends up being a fuse or switch, etc.).

These basic troubleshooting calls are something that many techs already offer, but within RV Help, the technicians have enabled these features so that RV owners are aware of them. This can be a simple way for RV owners to get help without incurring a service fee.

Feature #4 Emergency Dispatch (Newest Pro Feature)

One time, while pulling into a campground in Amarillo, my slide-out got stuck halfway out and we had no way of getting it back in. We couldn’t drive anywhere because of the awkward position of the slide, and we needed to find someone quickly to help us.

This is why we’ve launched the emergency dispatch feature within RV Help.

If you have an urgent issue, such as a slideout stuck, critical electrical system failure, AC quit working in Texas heat, or something else where you need immediate tech assistance, you can use our Broadcast Emergency feature.

How it works:

  1. Enter your problem

  2. RV Help will immediately broadcast your issue to all certified techs within a 100-mile radius.

  3. Someone from RV Help will reach out to ensure you’ve been connected with an RV Service Pro.

Looking Ahead

As RVers ourselves, we have many ideas for what we’d like to continue building to improve RV service, but we’d also like to hear from you.

If you have ideas for features you’d like to see on RV Help, let us know. We are actively working to build more features to help RV owners when they have a problem.

Thank you Richard, I went to the site and put in my zip code and nothing. It looks to me that it is just beginning and in certain areas. Will check it again later,

Brenda what zip code did you use? I searched NYS and found several Techs to include across the river in Canada. I search Albany, Syracuse, Rome, Niagra, Rochester, etc.

I used my zip code, tho as a guest, and only got two, one about three to four hours away and one in PA. I put my zip code in a nothing came up in Rome. So, maybe you have to be a member to get all the Techs. We are looking for someone to inspect our frame on our RV. Guess will have to get it to get all the techs and what it has to offer. Thank you Richard.

Not sure why your having trouble. Can you share the zip code your using so I can try it out? I don't have a paid membership. I only registered into their site and get all the Techs and Inspectors.
