Oil change on C Class

Quote from Lynn P on 2025-06-18, 6:40 amHow often or how many miles do you all go before changing the oil on your C class. I feel like my oil life goes down quick. I am preparing and making plans for a trip to Ohio and NY/CT in August. I live in upstate SC.
Any guidance would be appreciated.Thank you!

Quote from Richard R. on 2025-06-20, 6:23 pmFor Class C RVs, the general recommendation is to change the engine oil every 3,000 to 5,000 miles or at least once per year, whichever comes first. However, the exact interval can vary based on factors like driving conditions, oil type, and manufacturer recommendations. If I don't reach the 3,000 miles mark, I change at the start of the new RV season. Depending on the oil, while in storage is tends to lose strenght. I like having fresh oil each season. Please understand that you will have some say that it is not cost effective, but it's a whole lot cheaper than replacing an engine. Lynn I hope this answer your question. Have safe travels to NY/CT.

Quote from Craig P. on 2025-06-30, 11:59 amAlways follow the manufacturer recommendations on services, Like Richard stated. He is correct, on gas engines it is 3,000 to 5,000 mile engine oil change. On diesel engines, it is typically around 10,000 miles depending on the manufacturer.
