Congress Passes VA Home Loan Program Reform Act
Both the House and Senate have passed H.R. 1815, VA Home Loan Program Reform Act, and the bill now heads to the president’s desk for signature. Introduced by VFW member and House Veterans’ Affairs Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity Chairman Derrick Van Orden, this legislation would enable VA to cover delinquent payments and work with lenders to prevent unnecessary foreclosures. If this gets passed, hopefully it actually works. My brother could have used that years ago, before he passed. Have not read the proposed bill, but worried the money will disappear and the Veteran’s will again get the bad end of it. To many of the things in works for the Veteran’s have not either worked or even got started.
