Happy 4th of July
We wanted to thank those who served first. As well as my husband, we wouldn’t be so safe and independent without you all. We are blessed and grateful. With that, what are your plans for this weekend? We are keeping it low, doing a little smoking of meat and hanging out. Hopefully we wont have any more horrific weather. We had a tornado hit our area, took a tree down on my son’s house where we are staying. The tornados started out behind us on our friends land and ended up having two in nearby towns. So, while this is a time to be thankful and blessed, be safe.
I'm going to watch the fireworks over the water from the back pouch and try to calm my poor dog. Since we live across from the Lummi Nation, they can legally buy a lot of very LOUD and aerial fireworks. Some have been lighting them off for over a week already.. sigh.

Beautiful view for the fireworks too. Many family and friends with pets, especially dogs, say they deal with that. One even went to get a vest to try and calm, but it sounded like it didn’t help. Enjoy what you can and have a safe weekend.
Brenda that sounds like a perfect weekend and man, what a view Alan. I got forced to work on the 4th, (we operate 365, 24/7), but I am off for the weekend which is a good thing. Saturday is our anniversary. Which reminds me, I should stop and get a card before then!!! No big plans, maybe a movie and nice dinner Saturday. I hope you all have a great holiday weekend! 🇺🇸🎆🧨
Happy Anniversary you two. Hope you get to enjoy some. Thank you, but I was talking about Alans place and what he is going to go through with his dog. Marc and I are sitting on our patio, looking through our trees into a corn field, nothing special, just relaxing. Try and enjoy.

Since the fireworks are a lot of blasts (pressure waves) not much helps. He is getting better with it each year. Of course at times he is sitting on my chest for comfort.. All 75 lbs of him.
