Classic Disney Ship The Magic

I recently returned from my 6 day vacation on the Disney Magic and she is a wonderful classic ship. I enjoyed my time on board with the cozy features and elegant touches. It is nice to be on a ship that is not crowded because there are only 2500 passengers or so and where the cast members seem to have a little bit more magic. As I said, we sailed for 6 days. While on board we saw the Tangled musical, we watched 3 recently released top hit movies, we had brunch in Palo (which is the adult only restaurant), we stopped at 2 ports of call, which were the Grand Cayman's - where we did an excursion, which was my first ever handicap accessible excursion in a tender situation, it was exciting ; second stop was Cozumel. We dined twice in each of the rotational dining restaurants. Each time we dined, we had a different menu option and one surprise at Animators. The second time we were there, they did offer the drawn to life, draw your own cartoon character which came to life on the screens around us at the end of dinner. This is usually only offered on the larger ships. So this was an exciting opportunity to have. We also took part in a mixology course. And we took advantage of the pub on board that has board games like chess and backgammon. We also took a class to learn how to make picture frames. And we were able to add our own picture to it at the end of the class which was a lot of fun. As usual there was plenty to do to keep us busy and keep us entertained. There is never a boring moment. The one thing that we did find surprising about this cruise being a Disney cruise is the median age of the cruise was about 60 years old. I would say that only about 25% of the sailors on board would fall into the children category.
We took advantage of the 'book while you're on board 10% discount' to place a placeholder for our next cruise and we're looking ahead to do a transatlantic in 2026 so keep your eyes open for that review in the future.

Our next cruise will be on the new Disney Ship Destiny Inaugural when she arrives at Port Canavarel. The transalantic cruise will be nice, especially on a Disney ship. Looking forward to your review. Have a Magical Day. 🙂
