Disney is taking away 2 beloved attractions from us here very soon. One in California at Disneyland and one in Florida at Disney World.
At Disneyland in California Adventure, Disney is going to begin the dismantling process of the Red Trolley Car on February 9th. The reason given for this is to make way for 2 new rides going into Avengers Campus. So for the purpose of expansion we are losing a part of the parks history that has been with it since it's re-dedication, 2012.
At Disney World over at Animal Kingdom, they're going to be taking out It's Tough To Be A Bug. Your last day to be able to experience this show is going to be February 28th, as they will be closing the doors and beginning dismantling on March the 1st. This show has been a stapple at Animal Kingdom since its opening in 1998. The closure is making way for a new show that is called Zootopia: Better Zoogether.
My thoughts: On California Adventure, yes, I'm going to miss the trolley, but adding 2 new rides is going to possibly help with the long lines, and the dispersing of the crowds with having extra spaces for them to go into new lines. And as for Animal Kingdom, I'm not sure how many Zootopia fans there actually are, one, and number two, I'm not sure how they're actually gonna make that show in to a 4D experience like it was for It's Tough To Be A Bug.
If you love these attractions as much as I did I hope you get a chance to bid farewell to them.
