This Dark sugar has over the top depth and complex flavor that is outstanding for use on top of things like in a crumble. Don’t waste it as “Dark Brown Sugar” in a recipe. It’s talent is directly on the tongue. BTW, it generally keeps it’s moisture, unlike the cheap stuff that is refined and then molasses added back in.

I do keep regular store-bought “brown sugar” for putting IN recipes, and this keeps it moist by just soaking the terra cotta disk. I like that it stays up on the lid, rather than fishing it out of the sugar each time.
