The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued the following recalls for the RV industry:

ALLIANCE RV, LLC

Undersized Ground Cable May Cause Fire

The undersized ground cable may overheat, increasing fire risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 1354

Alliance is recalling certain 2020-2026 Midwest Automotive Design Luxe Cruiser, 2021-2026 Ultimate Coach, G-55, 2022 Ultimate Entertainer, 2022-2024 Revolution, 2022-2025 Professional Series, 2022-2026 Ultimate Cruiser, Ultimate Limo, Patriot Cruiser, Ultimate Traveler, 2023 Signature, 2023-2024 Athletic Series, 2023-2026 Day Cruiser, Freedom, G-45, 2024-2026 Business Class and Ultimate Weekender RVs. The ground wire may be undersized for the electrical system.

Dealers will inspect the configuration and replace the inverter ground cable as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 6. Owners may contact Alliance customer service at 1-574-218-7165. Vehicle Identification Numbers involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning June 22.

FOREST RIVER, INC.

Incorrect GVWR on Certification Label/FMVSS 120

Referencing the incorrect GVWR may lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 38

Forest River is recalling certain 2023-2024 XLR Toy Hauler recreational trailers. The listed Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) exceeds the weight rating on the upper deck chassis. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, “Wheels and Rims-Other than Passenger Cars.”

Dealers will install a new corrected label, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 25. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-642-0432. Forest River’s number for this recall is 79-2067.

STORYTELLER OVERLAND

Alternator Pulley Failure May Cause Power Brakes and Power Steering Loss

An unexpected loss of power brakes increases the distance required to stop. A loss of power steering increases the amount of effort needed to control the vehicle. Both situations may increase crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 82

Storyteller Overland is recalling certain 2024-2026 GXV Hilt vehicles. The secondary alternator pulley may fail, resulting in a loss of power brakes and power steering.

The remedy is currently under development. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 23. Owners may contact Storyteller customer service at 1-888-999-7442.

WINNEBAGO INDUSTRIES, INC.

Incorrect Tire Size Information on Label/FMVSS 110

Referencing the incorrect information could cause owners to install the wrong size replacement tires, increasing crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 384

Winnebago is recalling certain 2026-2027 Revel and Revel Sport RVs. The tire information label states an incorrect tire. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, “Tire Selection and Rims.”

Dealers will install new labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 17. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago’s number for this recall is 207.
