Thank you , you two. Again, why is there so much of this . Workers that are not doing their jobs, no workers or just poor quality of parts? Be safe and keep warm .

It all boils down to keeping Investors or company owners "Happy" (read as MONEY) and of course Bad Management.  100% Inspections of each vehicle cost a lot of money.

There is also a lot of worker "churn" and minimal training.  I actually audited one mfgr. years ago for the owner of the privately held company, and my skin still crawls every time I see one of their Rodeo Truck Bed units on the road.   They had no safety design / inspection process in place at all..  still don't.

So big corporate or small owned businesses, they all have issues with this.

The traditional iron triangle operates on the notion that you can only optimize two of the three elements at any one time. The interconnected trade-offs make it almost impossible to excel in all three simultaneously

The Classic Trade-offs (You can only Pick Two):

  • Fast & Cheap: Quality suffers
  • Fast & Good: Cost increases
  • Good & Cheap: Speed is sacrificed

Yes, investors. When we toured Heartland many years ago, we were helping them come up with a new RV. When we went in to look at it and told them our thoughts for living in it, they actually did take our comments to heart and did change a few things. When we were there, we were asking them about QA and we were told by the lady that did the Quality checks that they do not so everyone. She randomly picks a few a year, yes a year. We expressed we knew it may be like that as we had two RV’s and found issues with both. Some were easy fixes and some were not, and a couple to this day, still isn’t unless we want to tear down wall, for just a sound system. Of course, when we bought ours, the dealer would blame the manufacturer and the manufacturer would blame the dealer. So we blamed them both. Now it may be poor quality of materials, poor workmanship, not enough workers, or just people who don’t do their jobs. That is on the manufacturers. If they would give the workers better pay and less to those investors, maybe quality would be better.
