Decorating for Christmas
We know a few of you have stick and bricks still, the question is, when do you start decorating for Christmas, if you do? We wait till after thanksgiving. Day after our mini Christmas tree goes up and our lights get hung on our side patio. This year I think I will do a bit more. My daughter already is done decorating for Christmas. Let us know, like to hear.
I LOVE Thanksgiving, and hate that it is skipped by retailers and many folks (P.S. it's also my Birthday week, but I'm not telling the exact date 😉 )
So, I obviously put up the Yule Tree (a decorated evergreen tree, often called a Christmas tree, with roots in ancient traditions of celebrating the winter solstice) and assorted other festive decorations after Thanksgiving.. generally on the following Sunday.
And they come down after I have recovered from New Years Day ...
Well Alan, since you will not divulge the exact date, will have to wish you a big Happy Birthday now. You let the cat out of the bag, so you enjoy entering the new year😂. Enjoy what you can and be safe.
Thanks, I am having a lady with a baking business (and friend) make me an OLD fashioned Pecan Pie (no corn syrup) from a recipe 1914 I ran across. I'll let you know how it goes and take photo(s), along with the backstory once I get my hands on it (Tuesday is when she is making it). That's the extent of my birthday "celebration"... but I am attending a few Thanksgiving dinners starting Sunday and through the week...

Kim actually started decorating a few weeks ago. The front porch is done and a lot of the interior is done. Mind you, she decorates every room hahaha, or maybe that should be hohohoh lol. The tree won’t be up until this weekend after thanksgiving. If I had not have had gall bladder removal surgery last week on the 18th, she might have talked me into setting it up, but I am on a 5lb lift restriction for a few weeks so I will follow up with a post when it is up. 😁🎄
Craig, will keep you in prayer for a quick healing and recovery. Take you time and don't rush it.

I had my gallbladder out a few years back and I have felt much better since then. I hope you will feel better now that yours is out. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
