MO, St. Louis - Gateway Arch National Park

This was one of our stops when traveling Route 66. The monument and grounds were well maintain. The Arch was amazing seeing it up close. There's a free museum with exhibits detailing America's westward expansion and the building of the arch. A trip to the top offers great views of both sides of the Mississippi. On the waterfront was a Riverboat Tours, Helicopter Tours, and across the river was Casino Queen. This was a worthwhile stop.

Kim doesn’t do heights well so I couldn’t talk her into going up lol. For the full St Louis experience, catch a Cardinals game. Also tour Grant’s farm, (free), and you will see the Budwiser Clydesdales up close and sample beer. And the St Louis Zoo is very nice, (also free).
