Open Dates Released & Closer Dates
At Disneyland California two rides have posted to be closing on September 16th for refurbishment and possible holiday overlay. First is It's a Small World, with a projected reopen date of November 15th. The second is the Jungle Boat Cruise and it does not have a projected open date.
There are several closures coming up at Disneyland.
Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyers Island will be closed from September 16th through the 18th. The Sailing Ship Columbia will be closed from September 23rd to the 26th. It's a Small World will be closing on September 16th with an undetermined opening date. Jungle cruise will be closed from September 16th to October 3rd. And finally Dumbo the Flying Elephants will be closed from October 1st to an undetermined opening date.
There are some closures at Disneyland to report. Both It's a Small World and Jungle Cruise have been closed since September 16th, with It's a Small World having no projected open date and Jungle Cruise having a projected open date of October 1st. Also Little Mermaid will be closing on November 4th with no projected open date, and Dumbo the Flying Elephants closed on October 1st with no projected open date.
Some good news, Tiana's Bayou will be opening on November 15th. Hopefully , they will not have the delays in problems that they had in Florida.
With the dock people on the East Coast striking, will that affect your cruise ship voyages?
Here in FL Cruises are not effected per the Port Operator.
All the reports that I am reading and hearing, the dock workers that work the cruise ship ports are under a different contract.
Just announced today at Disney World Magic Kingdom, Runaway Mine Train will be closed for all of 2025, starting on January 6th and lasting for the remainder of the year. All they have said is that when it reopens, it will have some new enhancements. It is unknown if this closure has to do with the new things coming to Cars Land or Villains Land or what the closure will have to do with what's going on with the future of Frontier Land. We will just have to be without a park favorite for a year and wait and see.
We have three refurbishment dates for Disneyland and 1 for Disney World.
At Disneyland, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will be closed from November 18th to December 12th, Dumbo the Flying Elephant will be closed on November the 19th, and The Little Mermaid - Aerials Under Sea Adventure will be closed from November 4th through November 22nd.
Over at Disney World Magic Kingdom the Swiss Family Tree House will be closed from November 18th to December 19th.
