Open Dates Released & Closer Dates
Rock and Rollercoaster starring Aerosmith at Hollywood Studios will be reopening on July 27th.
Country Bear Jamboree at Magic Kingdom will reopen on July 17th.
Over at Epcot, Test Track will be closing June 17th and is rumored to be closed for an entire year for refurberation. The good news behind this is if you were a fan of the classic World of Motion ride the redesign is going to be in that fashion.
In California, at Disneyland there are already many attractions that are closed with dates that have not been announced for reopening and on July 8th the David Crockett's Canoes and the Hungry Bear Restaurant are announced to be closing as well with no set date to for reopening. When those dates do become available, I will let you know, along with the opening date for Tiana's Bayou at Disneyland (when it is announced).
I have an update to reopenings and rumored closures. Critter Country and Pooh Corner both reopened on June 8th over at Disneyland. On the eastern side of the mouse continent at Disney World at the Magic Kingdom there is a rumored shut down coming for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. There has been work permits filed that will allow for work to be done that will be going through and not expiring until August 8, 2025. Which is a longer than the typical one year permit given. It is expected that major refurbishment work is going to be done and possibly expansion work that has been talked about at the D23 EXPO of the land going beyond Frontierland. As it has been lately with refurbishments and developments, we will just have to wait and see what they do.
Opening date update:
In California Adventure at Disneyland, Red Creek Challenge Trail will be reopening on July 22nd.
Disney has updated its website to state that it's opening Rocking Rollercoaster as of , July 1st. So as of this post, it should be up and running.
And when I pulled up on my Disney World app, it is showing a 75 minute wait time, that confirms that it is up going!
More updated closures this time things are gonna be down during the D23 EXPO and there are not gonna be some happy people , so let's get into it.
All the following are closing on August 5th , with no protected open date: Space Mountain, Disneyland Railroad, Anna and Elsa's Royal Welcome, Animation Academy, and Turtle Talk with Crush
On August 12th with no projected open date the monorail is set to shut down.
I've also heard that at Disney World in mid-September, I don't have the exact dates because I haven't seen it on a calendar, that the Jungle Boat is going to be down for maintenance.
At Walt Disney World, the Jungle Cruise will be closed from August 26 until sometime in November. They don't have an exact date set for November. They just say November 2024. This is a bummer for me because this is going to fall right over our vacation there, and this is one of my favorite rides so I'm going to miss out on getting to ride it this go round.
The Haunted Mansion is finally reopened at Disneyland after months of refurbishment. Unfortunately, it has done so with a virtual queue. And it is making an early appearance with the holiday Nightmare Before Christmas overlay.
Pirates of the Caribbean, at Disneyland, closed for an unexpected refurbishment today and will be down until August 2nd.
At Disneyland, Tiana's Bayou will be opening November 24TH.
Also at Disneyland, Indiana Jones will be closed from September 9th - 13th.
At Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom, Peter Pan's Flight is done with refurbishments and opening a week early. It opened today on August 16th.
