Quote from Brenda S. on 2024-05-22, 1:43 pmMarc has stated at one time or another to take a trip up to Alaska. Like to know how you travel there? Some we have seen go up to Washington and go in that way, but many say the roads are very rough in Alaska. We also have seen some take their rigs on a ferry out of Washington State and go into Alaska that way. Not sure I like either way.

The ferry out of Bellingham (basically where I am) is great. I'm planning on taking a trip that way one day, but know a LOT of people that use it and like it a lot.
Their info on RV's etc is on the "Travel Policies" under Vehicles and Vehicle Categories

Quote from Richard R. on 2024-05-22, 5:14 pmI have driven 3 times on the ALCAN and it was dirt road. 1993 when I drove down they were working on the road to blacktop it. I had another RVer who lives in AK and he said the entire ALCAN in now blacktop. Yes it will have ice heaves after the winter, but if you take your time you can see them and slow down. The first time I went was from Tinker AFB, to Butte, MT, Edmonton, Dawson Creek, ALCAN to AK border, then to Anchorage. I'm hoping to do it again, but not sure when.
