Hoping everyone had a good Father’s Day yesterday. As we are getting our tripped planned for out west for a wedding, we have been trying to rout our route to try and avoid those awful storms with flooding and tornadoes. I know many of you are not traveling to far if any, but if you do, be careful. What do you do when you plan a trip and weather changes things? Since we have been RVing full time for 13+ years, we usually have a back up plan and another route to go. As we have been watching the systems, we have noticed lately that out routes would both be affected. What do you do? We hope you all are being safe and are traveling a bit. Enjoy.
Hopefully the weather pattern changes soon and these continuing severe storms stop. I think we are in the “new” tornado alley. If you have seen the news this week on the Illinois and Indiana tornados, the one they have been showing from Newburgh Indiana was heading our direction before it lifted. Thankfully it was not a long track tornado. And the flooding in the south looked awful. We watch and I highly recommend Ryan Hall Ya’ll Youtube meteorologist during severe weather outbreaks. He does live broadcasts during most severe events. And, we use the Weatherwise app. It is a free radar and storm chaser app and has a lot of free features. You can upgrade for even more features. I hope you guys do not run in to any bad weather on your travels.
Craig, glad you weren’t hit. Yes, we noticed the pattern has changed, sorry it’s up your way. We have two weather apps that has live storm chasers reporting, Weather Front and My Radar, plus my husband watches YouTube and most likely sees Ryans and everyone else on there.
We had a slight delay in our departure, dental work has been shifted in a later date due to Dr. not being in. So, we will have to wait and see. We always watch the weather. Hope you are doing as well as you can and your wife is doing well also. Try enjoy what you two can and if you can get out, get out.
