Returning home to Troy, NY

Richard,

In today’s local news for us in NY, they reported that they had identified a missing WWII airman from Troy, NY. The remains were flown back home.Lt. Burke served in US Army Air Corps and his remains were buried as an unknown soldier with 431 other prisoners of war at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Hawaii. The identified him using DNA from family members. As one who has used Ancestry, we are glad they can use it to help get our service personnel back home.
