NC, Moorseville - Richard’s Coffee Shop
Marc and I went to Moorseville, NC to check out some attractions. While at the NC Racing Museum, we met the lady running it. She told us about a Coffee Shop that was run by a Veteran for Veterans. There they can meet up with others, have a bite to eat, and/or get some help if need. It also is a mini museum, with things such as uniforms to photos of all services. We found out that the original owner Richard had passed and that the family and friends had purchased another building to keep it going. It is for Veterans and their family and it continues on donations. They have the service member sign in and they ring a bell for first time visit. On top of this great little place, they are so very welcoming. We met four people who actually were from where we are originally from, Central NY. We talked to them for a bit, remembering what they use to enjoy when in NY. You never know who you meet. If you’re a Veteran, this is something special.
