What is happening for you this summer?

Hello everyone, know you are all busy, but would like to hear from you, not much chatting here.

Craig, we are hoping your eye is better and you two are off enjoying travels and family.

Richard, hope the new place is what you were wishing for , especially having your home on wheels right with you, and your surgery did what is was supposed to.

Tink, hope you and your husband are not getting hit with the storms and you are enjoying yourself at another Disney or where ever.

Alan, hopefully you have found that place to settle and are on your way to relaxing.

For us, we took quick trip to NY to drop off grandsons who were down here visiting their aunt, a few miles from where we currently are. I had some dental work done, not fun, but it’s done. Planning our trip out west for the winter and for my husband’s daughter’s wedding in Cal. Get to see our friend out that way, which is also nice. Taking it one day at a time, trying to enjoy life.

Hope all are well and enjoying what you can, don’t overdue it.

Hey Brenda, we are doing ok. Kim is working a lot picking up extra hours since I am still not back to work yet. We have had reservations in Pigeon Forge for the last week of May  but the trip is up in the air right now. My Doctor released me to return with no restrictions on March 2nd but my  employer is refusing to let me return with no vision in that eye. (The three surgeries were not very successful). So, the union is involved and I have an Americans With Disabilities Act advocate involved. Hopefully I will find out something soon. It sounds like you guys have some fun plans coming up.

I have been very busy with both buying the new house and selling the previous house. House sold in 5 days after it was listed. So I had to deal with closing's on two houses at the same time. We finally got moved out last Friday from the previous house and moved in to the new house. Now comes the unpacking and arranging the new house. Then my project to build an RV port, a culvert to drive the RV across on to the property. Then I can install a fense around the property for privacy and security. Then enjoy the new home.

Knee surgery went well, but with the move, I pushed it a little so I need to take it easy for now. Not sure what the summer plans are going to be yet.

Craig, sorry to hear about the surgery. I pray something can be worked out with the employer. Push comes to shove, don't forget Social Security Disablity claim. You earned it if needed. Keeping you in prayer.

Craig, sorry to hear that. Not sure what the law is, but when I got hurt, when I worked, my company had to find something for me to do until I was fully ready to resume my position. Hopefully they can help you.

Richard, I was not surprised that you over did it. You so wanted to get out of there and into your new home. Take your time, let it heal. One box at a time 😉

We hope you all try and enjoy where ever you are.

Hello everyone, know you are all busy, but would like to hear from you,  . . .

Alan, hopefully you have found that place to settle and are on your way to relaxing.

I HAVE... I'm out of the old place here on Lummi Island, and I am now living up the Mountain in the South part of Lummi Island.  The area is called Scenic Estates, and I'm on the property of some dear friends (now also members here).

Here is my new view..  I don't get to watch the ferry anymore, but this place is so peaceful and wonderful to be at.  There's even a Zen garden..

Craig, I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I will keep you in my prayers. Richard it sounds like you pushed yourself a little too hard and you need to slow down and take it easy until your knee gets a chance to fully recover. Take it one box at a time and get moved in slowly, and enjoy your new house. Alan, I'm glad you finally got moved and that's a beautiful view.

@craig-kim

Craig, how are you doing, Any updates on the situation?  Hope it is getting resolved.   I went out on SS Disability long ago (as soon as I could).. and it has worked out fairly well.  Of course now at my age I'm on full SS income.

I was also surprised that they would not let you come back for some kind of work at least.  The company I retired from was very good about that.. even with no Union.
