What route are you taking? Trip Planning.

Many people ask if anyone has been on a certain route prior to traveling. Is there any way we can put this into a site? We can tell them where there is low clearance, where the roads are narrow and grades are really high. Better to help those going on a route they haven’t been on before. We could also ask them what they use and why to do their routes. I know having a big toy hauler limits us in some areas, it would be great to have those who have been there tell others the challenges or beauty their path is. We use Google Maps for most of our trip planning. We also do street view if we are not sure if the train and regular overpasses are of height. One time we even took just the truck and took a trip from one side of NY to the other to find a safe route, other then the Thruway. We don’t like them, but many do use them. Maybe add if they use tolls and what’s best to use. If you have a favorite trip planner, let us know and why. Enjoy and be safe.

We cannot provide that information.. it is a HUGE liability issue.. and difficult to keep accurate.  But yes, folks could ask for advice and then have others reply with what they are comfortable saying.  We will consider if they just need to do that in Chit-Chat or if it really needs a seperate section.   Give Us a few days to think.   We don't like to fragment conversations in too many sections if possible.
