Spaceship Earth at Epcot is scheduled to close on August 25th for either refurbishment or upgrades or maintenance, it is not clear what is being done to it, they just have it on the calendar to be closed.  And there is no set date for a reopening at this time. It is just said that it will reopen later this year. There had been talks of a total rework and a total refurbishment of the ride prior to the pandemic, but that had been put on the back burner when everything got shut down. I don't know if that is what is being done now. If so it's gonna be more than just a few months worth of work. we're just going to have to wait and see what happens.
