Kerrville tragedy

We are sending prayers to all those who have lost and are still missing in Kerrville and surrounding areas. Kerrville is one of our favorite places and we have many friends there. One of our friends sent a text letting us know the devastation that had occurred there. The flooding is said to have taken out, with damage and/or totally gone, three RV parks that we know of. We had seen a few on videos that were floating or caught up in trees. They were along the Guadalupe River, one in Ingram which is the tiny town next to Kerrville and the other two were in Kerrville on the back street right on the river. Beside the RV parks and many homes, there is also a Children’s Camp that was hit and they are still unaccounted girls missing, that was in Hunt, again, up the road from Kerrville. Please say a prayer for all those who are trying to get through this horrible time. Please be safe out there, you just never know.

Update, there has been excessively more flooding in TX. In Georgetown, TX, was hit by a lot of rain and they too got flooded. With this , one of their RV parks, Shady RV was wiped out. Unfortunately, they lost a great many RV and as some new fields have reported, there were some people in those RV’s that were wiped off their sites and into the river. It continues to rain and become more dangerous. Please pray for them and their families. Many loss of life and still many missing. Please be safe no matter where you are. Keep an eye on weather and make sure your emergency notifications are on. We have many friends in both areas that got hit and love the areas, as we spend many years there. Be safe.

Just wanted to check-in and let everybody know that we are safe. Even though we are in the area that received flood warnings and we are on the lake and only about about 35 miles away from the Guadalupe river. We are high and dry. The lake rose about 28 feet, but because it had been nearly dry we did not get evacuation notices. It would have had to rise about another 15 - 20 feet before that would have happened.

Glad you two are good, wasn’t sure you were still in TX, you were talking so much about Disney, thought you were there on vacation. Stay safe.
