Where to next?

Quote from Richard R. on 2025-09-02, 7:15 pmWell the incision healed good and no pain. However, due to balance issue, my PT has been extended for another 6 to 8 weeks, twice a week. As for driving long distance for now is on hold. I will be going on a short local trip to Camp Margaritaville in Aubundale, FL this sunday for a week. When I return, PT will resume.

Quote from Brenda S. on 2025-10-04, 7:26 amWell, we finally got our date to get our frame done on our rig. Tho another month yet, at least we have a date. Another new suspension, reinforced frame and we are getting better axels. This is not due to anything we had done, except drive on horrible roads and CW in NC did not do what they were suppose to on our “new” suspension they were suppose to put in. Word of advice, really check out things after work is done, we were told by inspector that CW did not do what they charged us for. Be safe out there, and hope to meet up with you all one day.
Richard, hope you’re doing better and have been doing some trips.
Alan, hope your reno is going well and can’t wait to see it.
Lastly, hope everyone is enjoying your travels and the fall scenery. Be safe.

Quote from Alan K. on 2025-10-04, 12:53 pmI had a Cold, got over it and then had an issue here with the dryer vent which dumped a ton of lint into the room, and caused lung issues. Finally just getting over that. It's starting to become our 2nd rainy season (just before winter) here on the Island, so any outside work on the rig has to stop.
Just as well, as I need to rent scaffolding in order to work on the front over-cab roof electrical (replacing running lights, antennas, sensors, etc.), and it needs to be 9' clear across the width of the rig's hood. Of course the scaffold I own is only 7'6" wide clearance because of the braces.. sheesh. So I'll hunt for a rental company to do it in the spring, and just nibble away at the inside work as my (tight) budget allows.
I still have a huge project on my workbench for a Non-Profit here on the island, and once that is done I can start work on mounting up the electrical equipment to the aluminum panel it all lives on. It's slow going, but I am having fun with the extensive research needed, sourcing parts, and figuring it all out.

Quote from Brenda S. on 2025-10-04, 2:00 pmWow, so sorry to hear you have been under the weather. We just love weather, and where you are I bet it gets really cold and nasty at times, so don’t blame you not to work outside. That is very nice your working on a non-profit there, hope it’s not to big a project. It is fun researching, especially fun things, I too am researching for a tiny part for my patio sliding door. No luck so far, but will keep to it or buy a 3D printer 😉 . We must continue, no matter what or it just sites there. Hope you get better to continue doing what you want to get done. Stay dry.

Quote from Alan K. on 2025-10-04, 4:53 pmLOL.. Actually winters here are very Very mild because of all the warm water around the island. We have a totally different climate from the mainland just a few miles away. They can be socked in for weeks and much colder, and us, well ...

Congratulations to the family addition. Oatman, AZ was awesome with all the Donkeys walking around and the unique shops. We visited in 2023 while traveling Route 66. Hoover Damn is the only place we did not get to. Hopefully on another trip in the future. Wishing you the best on the remainder of your travels. Safe journey.
