Wishing everyone a great Holiday season as well.    Unfortunately I suspect it will not be a snowy day tomorrow.  I miss having snow on the ground, a roaring fire in the hearth, and great food in the belly.   Going to be quiet this year.

There is something to be said about a good fire and good food. Snow, coming from someone who lived in the region of NY where you had so much snow, you took one step to get on your garage roof. Beautiful as it may, rather have your picture above. We got stuck in the Texas freeze a few years ago, no thank you, one reason we went to full time RVing. Happy New Year , hope things get less stressful for you .

Grin, folks said I was nuts moving from S. FL to Atlanta.. and I always told them I wanted more seasons than 1.   Of course I am also used to Buffalo NY snow (yikes), and for years we visited / worked in New Paltz, NY / Mohonk Mountain house.   Last time I was there was a May weekend, with 10' of snow still on the ground.

I like to look at Snow.   Photos are fine these days LOL

Of course here on the Island, snow is pretty, but problematic as the Ferry only brings a Snow Plow over to us after the mainland is cleared.  And even then, it's only in the budget for 3 times a winter.   So we get stuck in our homes for most of the time snow is heavy.

We ended up getting hit with the TX freeze a couple years back. Cold and snow wasn’t the issue, it was them shutting off and turning on the electric every hour. They were not ready for it. Being from Tug Hill region in NYS, we know all to well what snow and bad weather does. Like you, our back roads were the last to be plowed, and at times, if it continue to snow, it may have taken them three days to get to us. We had it so bad one year, we took one step to get on our garage roof. Don’t miss those days at all. Stay warm and enjoy what you can.
