Disney Wish Review

We just got home from sailing on the Disney Wish for the first time and I'm not going to say that I'm no longer a Disney cruise fan, but I am going to say that I'm definitely not a Disney Wish fan.  There were several things on this cruise that let us down from the quality of food. To things that were missing, such as on deck where we were used to getting fresh fruit and fresh sandwiches and Disney cookies, those were missing on this ship.  The same could be said for handicap accessibility as well, it was very much lacking. There were areas on the boat that I wasn't able to get to at all. There is a place called the Hero Zone which was only accessible on the 1st level. The 2nd level was only accessible by stairs. I wasn't able to go and see any of that. The same problem exists at the adult pool.  I could not get into because it was only accessible by stairs than a ladder. There was no handicap accessibility to it. That's the same thing with all the whirlpools. And the elevator situation was just crazy. They've taking out one section of the elevators that were available on other boats , and then the elevators themselves are much smaller.  The food quality was not up to par from previous sailings, on other Disney cruises.  I did enjoy the staff and the entertainment outstanding. The dining venues for rotational dining were excellent. So, don't get me wrong we had an excellent vacation. The quality of food and the handicap accessibility did really dampen my experience though.

Side note not about the Wish. I don't know if this has to do with the Wish or about Halloween on the High Seas in general, it was hectic and it didn't seem to be as good as the Christmas season. I wouldn't do Halloween on the High Seas again. I would prefer to sail during the Christmas season.  There seem to be more decorations during the Christmas season and more theming.

Tink, I agree with you about the Wish accessibility and size of elevator and speed. Don't forget to mention it in your survey. I see Chuck got  his grooming done. Good for him. Overall, I'm happy you both had a good time.
