Homemade jelly doughnuts

I grew up in CT and bakeries were plenty. Jelly donuts are still my favorite. I always get a jelly donut when I go back up north but being in Florida I decided to find a recipe and this one posted below really came out pretty good.  One big must on these is to use the correct frying oil.

Thank you for posting about your Homemade jelly doughnuts Lynn ( @nomadventure23 ),

I love really good doughnuts.

When I was growing up in S. Florida, there used to be a Bakery truck that would come through the neighborhood (think like Ice Cream truck, song and all).  My Mom would have a blast with the fresh baked doughnuts, breads, pastries, and pies.

More than once my piggy bank contributed to the cause.

Of course we also had home delivery of milk and cream bottles. Miss some of the old days.
