Wondering if it connects only to those who are in that system? Do they have to fill out something to be on there for others to look for you?
All branches of the military is represented. You sign up for your branch and fill out your profile and the system matches you to other members who have served with you. Your also establishing your legacy so that family members can look you up. I haven't finished my profile yet and already have a match. It's an active community, but I have been busy with this site and trying to get more members to join here, that I don't have the extra time to work on my profile. Since I cancelled my travel plans, I maybe able to work on it some.
My father would have loved this if it had been available years ago. He lost touch with all of his Air Force buddies over the years. He was a Corporal during the Korean conflict, stationed in Okinawa, (I think). His uniform is still hanging in the closet at Mom’s house. I couldn't ever get him to talk much about it. He would have been 96 this year.
God Bless him and may he R.I.P. I understand how he felt about talking about his war tour. Not easy and most people wouldn't understand why we did it. Be well my friend.
