Dos Rios State Park in the San Joaquin Valley, will open to the public on June 12. It is the first State Park to open since 2014, as stated by the California State Parks Service. It is located 8 miles from Modesto, as there will be hiking, newly built picnic tables and ramadas for the opening. There will also be planning for the river access for swimming and boating .  There is no mention in the article about  having camping of any type at this point, but mentions there are still in the planning stage for other things to help your health.  If you are out in this area, and have time to stop and be at the opening, let us know what you think.
