FL, Orlando - Thai Thani

Quote from Richard R. on 2024-05-26, 1:23 pmI love me some Thai food from the time I served in Thailand. During my travels I always seek Thai Restaurants to see how close they cook their meals compared to Thailand. Thai Thani is my go to place when I have a desire for their fish cakes and Thai beer. Highly recommend eating here.

Not all Thai food is spicy, but can be depending on the dish.
Generally if the dish is "flat" and not multi-layered flavors, it's just a knock off. I always look in the kitchen to see who is actually cooking. We have many like that here and in Seattle.
The ones that are real, are often mom & pop family run, and the depth of flavors will be obvious. The best one in town looks like an old shack, and inside it is neat as a pin, and the aroma from the kitchen makes you salivate the moment you enter. There is one in a small strip mall behind a gas station in Seattle like that too. We used to go there every week when I lived there.
Darn it, now I'm craving good Thai food, and I'm pretty much stuck on the Island until June 18th (Car Ferry is in dry-dock).
